Updated: Friday, 25 March 2005 17:41 Diving in Norway is surprisingly unexplored as yet, but reports are emerging of gin-clear water and almost untouched WWII wrecks, amid stunning scenery. There are a few liveaboards now. Breakfast in a Fjord, anyone? You can read sample reviews of the diving

here Don's Notes:"We are in the process of trying to put together an expedition to dive the five German World War II Warships sunk at the battle of Narvik in and around the harbour at Narvik Ffordup in the Artic Circle. They are mostly between the depths of 12 - 25 metres and in a state of near perfect preservation due to the cold water. At present the plan is to fly to Narvik ( approx £200 return ) for a weeks diving on the Jane R , which will meet us there ( charter hire £500 ). Bottles and weights supplied. We are considering Air Freighting stabs/ dry suits/ pony cylinders etc. Water temp. in sept ( second week ) min 12, max 15 degrees. There is room for 12 on this trip and I already have 8 definites. We need to book this within 4 weeks to reserve this date, contact me to book your place……….first come etc." Don Places booked by Don , John , Su , Paul , Sean , Robin , Joyce , Daniel. |
